I have a freeflow mandrel 3" mild steel from the dump back, I had Flanges installed so when the new engine is installed I can finish the dump in 3" also! I got the entire setup, with a hot dog to quiet her down and a plain muffler which will not draw attetion to the car, all for the bargain price of $330 installed! I admit the car is a LOT louder, but it's bordering on legal, and I think my cars is actually performing a bit better now then with the stock pipe! Not to mention how it will perform when she's finished! I'm a bit confused as to the argument here, common knowledge suggests that N\A cars suffer with larger exhausts, Turbo cars do not even have an issue! What's to argue!? Anyway, point being, I was quoted between, $600 and $1200 for a 3" system, talk to the right people, DO NOT pay over $500 for a full system! :beer

Cuss Cuss, I know it was just an example, but a N/A 1.6 with a 2.5" or 3" get real, both those sizes N/A would make that car unbearable, and run like shit.
my 1.6 was good with a 2" and a guy with a cordia had a 2 1/4" exhaust and it wasnt running well.

Easy, mate. Besides which, an exhaust doesnt make that much difference, Gutter rat. You can run any engine off just the headers, or with no exhaust if you want - it sure as heck wont make it unbearable. In fact, it will feel quite nice and revvy, just wont have the normal low down power that you'd be used to.

Obviously you wouldn't run off the ports, but I was making a point. I have a feeling you're not quite as smart as you think you are.
