How sure are you of attending? 50%

Will you be "entering" a car. If so how many?
Maybe....probably not

Would you participate in show n shine?
Sure i'll buff up a wheelborrow(not unless i get my car finished)

Would you participate in some "soft" driving events on a closed circuit?
sure

Would you prefer a cruise to a destination and/or a novelty event (treasure hunt type of thing"? Cruise sounds good, Or you could do an amazing race thing with check points and stuff but a law abiding of course

If a Saturday night dinner with guest speaker was arranged would you attend? Sure Get chriss from beyond motor sport

If entertainment was arranged for either Saturday or Sunday night would you prefer live band, DJ, no entertainment just lots of beer. live bang with beer

For accomodation planning how many people would you bring ie (just me; me and wife/girlfriend; me, wife and 1.5 children; me and 2 mates.).
just me:(

Would you share accomodation with fellow members?
That sounds kinda gay :wtf: .....lol jokes sure wouldn't mind that

hotel/motel

Woud you be prepared to pay an "entrants fee" to cover the cost of hiring some facilities and or venues?
sure depending on price

Do you have any suggested event activities?
lapdance comp?

If awards were to be given, what would you like to see recognised?
Best car, most race oriented car, most promising build up, Dorift award, Nice rice award, nice Fatty(Widebody award), Hi horses award.

If some members (ie our NZ friends) need transport, can you assist?

OK some work has been done on this.

Originally I was thinking Ballarat area as it had Winton close by, plus the driver training centre nearby at Shepparton and was reasonably central. BUT ... there are issues with use and hire of the facilities ie we need to be a CAMS registered car club for insurance purposes. No way around that. Plus facility hire is majorly expensive.

So second choice was going to be around Albury/Wodonga and cut the driving/circuit stuff out - just cruise and show n shine with a dinner on the Saturday night. That was progressing and I got some info on accomodation rates etc and was starting to pencil in a likely date towards the end of March to early April.

Then a month or so ago Marie and I find out we have a baby on the way and its due in late April. So that makes those dates a bit unlikely, at least for us.

So if this gathering is going to happen its likely to be late February or later in the year and a real simple one as I/we obviously have a number of things to attend to between now and April.

If some local people down that way have any suggestions for a weekend/location let me know. Also any help that people can offer will be great.

Cheers
Greg

Congrats on the baby, WANTSOM and GOTSOM
If we still wanted to use the Winton track, we can time it to co-incide with one of their open track days, i think it's only like 20 bucks to use the track then, we'd just have to share with some other cars though.

Heres an idea for the WA Crew...

All throw $100 at a van, or something, bit for fuel money - cruise over there and hope the poor fkr makes it back?

edit: perhaps we can get a non-drinker to drive there, so the passengers can drink bulk piss on the way over??? :beer

A track day dedicated to Starions would definately make the Trip worthwhile.....if it has to be late next year, that is fine by me.

If you mates will offer an award or recognition plaque for the longest distance tgraveled, I will consider going.

I've been ponderiing the idea of a trip to Australia for some time now.

The more notice I have the better for lanning purposes.
And sorry but I will NOT be able to take my widebody to the meet :D
