And everytime a Ford driver wins the championship they seem to end up driving for Holden the following season.... :?

Thats because if a ford wins the championship, it's all driver and nothing to do with the car.

See, I like parity racing, as it brings it all down to; Driver, setup, strategy etc etc. Rather than he who has the most money wins.

V8 supercars are about as interesting as watching paint dry and the fact that they are in NO way shape or form similar to a production car yet all the Ford and Holden bogans still go for their team shows the mentallity of the average V8 supercar fan. Oh did I mention I dont like V8 supercars ?
I'm a bit like you in this Daz .I used to love watching Longhurst drive the M3 Beamer at 10/10ths all day and worry the v8s in the twisty bits and wear them down at the end .Also loved the Moffat RX7 for the same reason :)
I still love the v8s as well as the WRC where biiig gonads must surely be top of the list on the crews resume

wasn't Mark Skaife trying to bring this in for the 2013 or 2014 year?

That's great! Hope it happens. When i was living in Melbourne 7 years ago they were talking about Mitsubishi joining then, nothing ever came of it.

A1GP was like this, same car, all down to driver and setup, was always a joy to watch.

Bring back the Group A days.

Even the 2 litre supertourers shat all over the V8 boringcars, sorry I meant boganscars because there was such a mix of makes and configs: fwd, rwd, 4cyl, 5cyl. And they were at each other on the track...was exciting viewing.
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...

Adding to that... bring back Group B!
Unlimited rally cars, wild body kits, hundreds and hundreds of HP, great drivers, thousands crowding the side of the track, nitrous in the fire extinguishers. Formula 1 through the trees, perhaps the greatest motor racing of all time.
