I used it that way if I remember correctly. I searched for so many things on this forum and found a lot of useful things but I couldn't find these or maybe I just don't remember finding them, I'm a little too tired nowadays. I'll try to get off the sender of the parts car first, but it won't be easy.

Hi Guys,

Just updating on this issue looks at this point to be resolved, i have been driving it for a few weeks now and the gauge will now read a bit high when first started but after it has warmed up it returns to normal readings.

I think it may have been a combo of to thick of oil and a bad sensor but after replacing the sensor and drooping the oil for penrite HPR10 it seems to have cleared up the problem. (unknown what oil was in the car before hand)
Im still to check the relief value but that will be done in the near future just to be on the safe side.

Thanks to everyone for the input and help on this one, greatly appreciated.

Al let me know when you want that spare instrument cluster back and ill drop it off to you ASAP.

A little update here too:

I changed the oil pressure sender to another one I found and now it shows the correct values and the needle stays at the bottom until I start the engine.
