I know late 80s/90s FWD auto Mitsis have no hole or provision for a clutch master on the firewalls, you have to cut holes yourself as opposed to Toyotas for instance which just have a plate covering the holes which can be unbolted on the autos.
Ive done a couple of auto to manual conversions,
The one's ive done have a slight outline on the firewall,so all you need is to holesaw the centre and drill the other 2 bolt holes,Pretty easy.
As Redzone said,it is a bit of a c^#t to get the pedal assembly in with all the dash etc
Kristian from ironchef just emailed me back saying he could easily organise import from the UK so I've got my mate chasing them down for me. They're like 2000 pounds (approx 4300 dollars) for a half decent widey over there plus whatever it costs to get here. Will let you all know how I go.
Be very weary of a car from the UK, especially the older ones! They use salt just like Japan and even late model cars are just f**ked in the underbody because of that. Make sure you get it thoroughly inspected, and stripped if necessary!

+1 - I looked at a few wideys while I was in Ireland and did buy 2 at various stages but I did a lot of trips over to England to look at ebay starions and a lot were rotten. It can be hidden quite well too especially with a new paint job and black underseal on the underbody. To be honest it needs to be low k's or a stripped and rebuilt one to be sure. Good luck!
one place to check which isn't usually visible is at the base of the front windscreen on the inside up under the dash - have seen many a UK Starion rust chronically there. Also check the usual places - all wheel arches and inner skins, sills, support panel under the radiator, hatch lid, bottom of the boot and in the tyre well etc.
the problem i had with the clutch master was that the extra brace wasnt there on the auto floorpan cars so i had to make one up. the firewall part is the easy bit. without that extra brace i'd say the firewall would crack ED falcon style...
and entaran it looks like you will be building a replica of groupAralliart's car :)
Fibreglass airdams $370, fibreglass front bumpers $260, reco drag links $165, alloy radiators $925 (unpolished), h/l switch rebuilds $125, all plus freight.

Well i'd hope it's a replica of someone's car because I doubt i'm the first person to want to put a twincam in a widey. Mine will probably have more HP tho ( i hope!!!! ), the racemotor in my shed made 434kw on my Galant VR4 before I ripped it out and sold the shell. .... which is kind of why i'm worried about the gearbox.
