considering you can almost make 300ftlbs of torque off the stock 2.6 turbo.....

I'd say single cam for single cam then g54b, if dohc then 4g6x..

g54b doesnt make a whole lot of hp, but it makes huge amounts of torque.

Really in the end, it doesnt really matter, either will get you there easily with a few mods.

Both engines have proven themselves for running 7 second 1/4 miles, so capability wise they are both very capable. In the end its if you want a lot of low end or high end.

Is the main reason for the 2.6 not liking to rev, because of the huge flywheel they are running? Seems most of the American fellas lighten them shitloads and thus, produce a faster revving engine.

That with extra mods in injection, turbo and cylinder head porting should work well.
