sad but true! i was probably even a bad driver regarding motorcycles until i had the bike training which tought me how to deal with cars, opens ur eyes up a bit. i was just in the wrong place at the wrong time methinks.

Greenslip

Post by Darkelf »

Um a greenslip is Compulsory Third Party insurance. You have to have it in NSW. Costs a friggin fortune! Can't register without one.

Don't all states have this??? Maybe it's called something else in SA.

Yes, but it covers people not cars, bikes etc.
It will pay your hospital bills, rehab, surgery, etc...... if you're injured in an motor accident. In Vic, it's in your rego cost, $120 or so for the rego sticker, $350 insurance. :o

$350 for insurance for your stazz, $350 insurance for the bike, $350 insurance for the family car, $350 insurance for the boat. but how many of these can you drive at once? so why do we pay insurance for all of them instead of paying insurance for just YOURSELF? why you may ask? when most other country’s get a little tag on there key ring witch covers you in your car, someone else’s car, the work car and anything else you drive for ONE insurance payment?!?!?! because our government is run by incompetent monkey-loving money-grubbing frog-like garden nomes like john howard. that why.

thats my rant. :x

Insurance

Post by Darkelf »

Should have a system like the UK.

None of this Greenslip nonsense. Drive the car, you have to insure it! End of story.
No insurance? Get prosecuted! End of story!

2 Types of insurance 3rd Party and Full Comp. Both cover damage to people and property.

Always thought the Oz system was an arse about face way of doing things.

No offence to any Australians out there of course! LOL

ooooh sorry bout that hoons! forgot you were building a case to get one. my dad is dead set against me riding now :S but when u fall off the horse, better to get back on straight away and cause more injuries...

yeh we don't call it a green slip, just 3rd party personal or bodily insurance... yeh i noticed that was the most expensive thing on the rego slip.. might have to make a claim on the 2 days off work :(
