I wasn't suggesting it was too big to download (I'm on 1.5Mb adsl), I can't post anything that big on the forum, it needs to be hosted! :D

Maybe someone could put it in the Video library at the top!? Deeks? :beer

I have heaps of Stazz footage, including the EIP car running 10.6! :o

Sounds a lot GroupA touring car-ish. Some of the groupA starion engines used Cosworth piston blanks.

Would have expected more juice with the Garrett though, especially considering the boost level.

tis a cosworth garrett (t3-t4 maybe? doe anyone know?) so i'm assuming it's non-ball bearing and a tad small so 400bhp sounds rightish to me, looks like the turbo has a restictor of some kind sitting there aswell, would figure since it's racing in competition structure of some sort.

At 400hp it's very much un-restricted!

It runs in a UK category called Modified Production, which is loosely similar to Improved Production here. No restrictors in the UK series.

But its 400Hp at the Flywheel not the wheels so in that sense the Turbo looks about the right size. Rememeber they mentioned in either of the articles that they don't exactly have many long stretches on their tracks so picking a smaller turbo makes sense

It has comparable power for the boost level with a groupA staz in qualy trim at ~2 bar. But the groupA HKS turbo is a lot smaller than a garrett (any non BB garrett), so as I said I would have thought it would have more grunt. Considering also groupA had to deal with standard manifolds, standard sized valves and ports, which he doesn't need to be concerned with. But hey, if he's getting it reliably :party

BTW, the article was making reference to the particular circuit they were testing the car at as tight. The UK has some of the fastest circuits in the world.
