I saw Cannonball Run 2 at the cinema when I was a kid.
I proclaimed that I would one day own one of 'those black cool cars'.
Years later I was looking at upgrading from my GH Scorpion. I looked at Supras and Silvias and even a Cordia. Then I remembered the Starion.
I bought the first one, it was shit but it taught me a lot.
Amazingly it didn't put me off Starions for life as at one stage I had 8!
Now I have a more modest 4 :)

Up until the demise of the Mitsubishi 380, Mitsubishi's heart was in Adelaide SA where they produced thousands of their cars. As a result many of us born & bred South Aussies felt attracted to our home grown product. When I entered my second boyhood I began to gain a rekindled interest in these older SA built Mitsubishi cars. I had quite a few Sigmas & Scorpions, & even a Cordia before I aquired my first Starion around 5 years ago. The Starion became an instant love affair & now I'm out of control, buying up any just to prevent them being scrapped. My little family of Starions has just increased to 7 with the aquisition of a lovely burgandy JB that was tucked away in a shed for 10 years just 5 minutes from where I work. I'm now considering selling off some of them & just retain my favourite ones. Also being a member of the "worlds best forum" goes a long way towards enjoying Starion ownership.

you people have too much space!! I envy you all!! I hate Sydney :glare:
Agreed about the forum though.. despite minor hiccups every now and again, everyone helps everyone else out, and I don't think I would have owned a starion for so long if it wasn't for the forum.

Was looking for a series 2 RX7 in the early 90's but thought they were overpriced and no 1 son =Guru spotted a JB in the Trading Post that had app 90k( for $12k) on the clock with log book history but with bonnet & roof fade and that was the start of my modifying journey and finding the bottom of my pocket many times :(
Buying the JB has led to meeting a great bunch of fellow Starion tragics /diehard enthusiasts and meeting and making and some great friends along the way :beer
