7" (front wheel) reads 7jx16 18
8" (rear wheel) reads 8jx16 0
which I take it means Front 7 " wide 16" rim offset 18
and Rear 8" wide 16" rim offset 0

maybe thats not back spacing ??????
I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL, with this wheel thing
mainly becaube nobody has gone to the effort
of sizing real wheels for thier starion, they seem
to just use other cars wheels and space them to fit.

yes, those sizs and back spacings are for the STD Widebody rims, I am after the SHP Pack rims: 8" fronts and 9" rears. I would imagine they might be different to the STD offsets?

Not really a big fan of the 7 or 8" fronts.... I'd love to see a widey with the 9" stp's on the rear and the 8" rears on the front.... I think that would look awesome!

we only got 4 stud flatties here shift just so u know. why did he run widey control arms etc? without the widey struts? did he put on adjustable camber tops so it didnt have 5+ degrees neg camber??

and phil i'm gonna measure the offset of my rears i've never seen anyone say they're 0mm before, pretty sure when i looked at mine last i couldnt find an offset marked on the rear rims.

redzone, both of those cars above were 5 lug swaps from a widebody. the black one just used the spindles up front(and caliper brackets) and the same in the rear. The silver one did use widebody front strut but it actually had some aftermarket springs on it as well. We got the 85.5 5 lug IC flatty here in very very small numbers, all other flattys were 4 lug, even the 86-87 ones after the widebody was released here.

all front wheels had the same offset 18mm or .7". that includes the 14 and 15" rims along with both 7s and 8s fronts. I do not believe the offset is cast into the rims anywhere, only the width and diameter and the japan equivalent of the DOT certification for road use (JWL?)

the back spacing on the an 8" rear 16" rim should be about 4.5" i believe.

There is no 16x8 with a 0mm offset. It'd be -10mm for the rear 8's. The 9's were the 0mm offset.

There are indeed casting marks designating the offset.
