Were Australian Starions fully manafactured in Oz or were they just assembled there?
The Jap starions obviously don't conform to the JA, JB, JD scheme above. I have a GSRIII which seems to be a mish mash of JA/JB bits. ie velour interior, no lock on fuel filler door, JB wheels, JA front bumper, Type 1 throttle body, LSD bla bla bla. Most of it is standard. Those crazy japs.

Thanks for the info everyone! This will help me understand what everyone is talking about and for when I consider purchasing overseas parts.

jrod82, SO SORRY to ruin your day--I can see you were really put out when you made your positive contribution to the thread.

-3.9:1 LSD (all factory LSD)....not true

For the JD, the LSD was still an option, but had the larger open diff. My ex JD numbered 45 did not come with the D 60 option!
You will find the two tone limited edition ones came with the LSD as standard in the package...

ill have to check my user manual (the little booklet u get when u buy a new car) on the JD as im sure in the Specs section it only lists the LSD as the only diff.
