Starion v's Porsche

We took the starion out to the Canberra Porsche Club supersprint day at Wakefield Park on Monday. The car is running a stock SR20DET running 9psi with a 3 inch exhaust (and an open centre diff!).

We came 20th and 21st out of 58 cars. Not so impressive until you check out the cars we beat: a BMW M3, R32 GTR Skyline, Porsche 993, 911 turbo, 944 turbo, WRX, Twin turbo Supra, etc

I will never forget the look of astonishment on the face of a Porsche 911 turbo driver as I passed him on the main strait! I can't lip read bit I swear I though I saw him mouth "what the..."

I don't know what the vette had done to it but it sounded awesome and had plates 'MAD VET'. However, it did leave on a trailer part way through the day!

Nice one sanchez - drove past your staz a few weeks ago, looks like we should have stopped and had a better look under the bonnet than last time :o
