From what I know where we are going, Birthing suites are a different colour room but on the same ward, one door seperates private from public. Same nurses do both, if there's a problem babies go to the same place. The TV's are hooked into the same network (perhaps they are free instead of $5 per day) Perhaps you get to see your own doctor, but who cares, not like my wife is gunna give a rats while in labour.
Anyway that's my spin on the birthing part of a hospital, out in the other wards may be a different story of course.
Ah, I assumed you were refering as to private vs public hospitals, in the same hospital I don't imagine there'd be much of a difference, esp in the Birthing area..
So... this would constitute another addition to your team in the near future? :P

if my ex wanted to have our child in a private HOSPITAL then the drive to the hospital would have been 1 hour not 5 minutes. Which im sure would make a huge difference when shes in such a great deal of pain. Decided to take the tooth out myself. Using panadol and some teething gel then my friend is going to rip out my head with one of his rx7's. WISH ME LUCK! :beer
