nation starion meet

Post by Starion VR4 »

Originally i thought of a national starion meet every 2-3 years in a different state, and originally i thought of giving every one plenty of time or prep their cars, MAY 2005 was my original idea 8)

Hehe i find this funny as i suggested a national meet as a joke and now all this has happened
i sure as hell hope it does happen, just give me 10 years to get my car ready and donations are welcome.

The Big Starion Cruise

Post by starionclinic1 »

The wife and I are taking the JB to Tassie in November this year!
Drive to Melbourne, put the Stazz on the ship (fingers crossed it doesn't sink)
Spend 4 days in Tassie seeing the sights, driving the roads! Meet a couple of local Starion owners. back on the boat.
Stay with friends in Melb for 2 days, Meet some Melbourne locals and head back to Sydney. Should be a good trip.

The first idea was to go to Tas on the ship from Sydney, but that is $1600 each. The one from Melbourne is $310 each return. And the drive to Vic will be good.

Is there a chance of getting every one to Tassie this November? Come on people it's 9 months off...... get your cars ready. And those with modified (Track) cars get an engineers report for it and get it road rego'ed again!!

Cheers
Jason.

Actually Jason, there is a Drag Combat meet planned for Tassie on Nov 6 which will have the Sydney to Tas ferry booked for anyone that wants to take their car down there for the meet. Shipping of the cars (must be registered and driven on) will be free. Just have to pay for your ferry trip down there. I think entry to the event is $100 for competitors so sounds like a cheap way to get down there.

$1600 each and the car goes free! We know that already, nothing cheap about it. Well ok, the entry of $100 for the drags is not bad. You going mate? Should be good fun. I think we are going late Nov? Have to double check on that......

I will double check that as November is supposed to be off-peak time etc. One of the officials was talking about it last week. Its something like $400 each.

I'll decide closer to the event.
