That's a mighty brave statement there Cuss Cuss, are you some form of 'Anti Rice' enforcement officer sent back in time to rid the world of all that is rice?

That's really wierd, i had a dream i had gull wing doors on my car last night and that i could park really close to walls and stuff and get out.

But I think I'll resist the lure of the dark side

no, horses for courses, i dont go hating on other peope/cars for what they have done to it, i laugh a bit but thats about it.

My car is trying to stay rice free and well.... this is pretty dam ricey, it puts more weight on the car, is there for looks and looks only, but i love it anyway.

Doesn't seem like a whole lot more weight. Anyone looked into removing weight from the doors?

What could you remove from the doors to make them weigh less?
Power window motors?
That's really about it, unless you've got big-ass speakers in there too... :P

You could cut most of the panel out, and replace with fibreglass. Definately not road legal (here anyway becuase of the seatbelt thing). But could be done :)

or what would be legal, grinding off the thick Mitsi steel and replacing it with a thinner lighter metal. Obviously saftey in an accident drops there, but I doubt it would be below 'acceptable levels'. Most cars Ive owned you could lean on the door and it'd bend in and then spring back. To get a Starion door to do that requires a bat.
