Hello from Mt Eliza VIC

Post by Barney »

Hi Guys

Im at a sales conference at Melbourne Business School in Mt Eliza and im very bored. so i thought i would say hello.

Last night took a XW Falcon for a drive, It had a 351 and a shift kitted auto.
Its when you drive these old cars you realise just how far technology has come, and its for the better. This car had poor handling, it floated like a boat. The brakes had more travel than a back packer. The steering wheel was thinner than a bic pen and less power than a Niki 650.

Anyway i had better go, Its only 9.07 pm for me but the clock says
12.07 am :wtf:

You should have driven a 4 speed your clutch leg would be stuffed as well shit they where heavy

think how much fun bathurst must have been with standard size wheels and road rubber that wasn't much better than recaps are today
a heavy clutch , NO brakes to talk of , and shit loads of power

yep cars have come along way thank god

What are you guys talking about, those wire-thin stearing wheels are perfect for turning those 980kg engines with no power steering, damn women.

Did you bring your beast down with you Ash?

Home Now, full of usless advise.

Cheater, the funny thing with this car is that the owner thought it was really FAST. I didn't have the guts to tell them that my 2ltr SOHC turbo would kick it arse in every department :)

Glenjo, No didn't drive the beast across, took a Virgin instead. Did you know how tight a Virgin is (seating that is) :)

Chris, Next time im over i will let you know, You can buy me that Beer, I like Millers Genuine Draft
