Gullwing starion in US !!!

Post by Powerslave »

Oscar might be able to clear this one up , but I thought the only 3 Gull-Wing starions made were still in Japan ??? Might be a custom job. Check it out :

Yeah saw that one auctioned off in Japan over a year ago. On Yahoo! Auctions or something.

Yeah, I recognise that too. What kind of a loser thinks he can claim something by posting pics?

Apparently they were going to be badged 300GT (GTO) which is a pretty big link in the puzzle as to why there are OEM starion centre rear light assemblies for the newer 3000GT's.

Speaking of Which I saw a 3000GT today and is was silver and I was drueling and I love them cause they are sleek and lower and quick.
I think I want one :) dunno about twin turbos though, I think a 350z would be more rewarding.

Cheers

Actually, he doesn't claim it's his - just says they're some pics he likes :)

I'd love a 3000GT.. pretty cool looking cars (and it's just a more up-to-date Starion really)..

I thought GTOs were so awesome when they came out, but now I'm not so sure.. they are pretty common here in NZ. (I count 19 on Trademe now, and 1 Starion.. and even that one looks like a lost cause).

I'd definitely rather have a Starion :)

Exactly!
Like hcca says he says and I quote, "Don't have any pic's yet but i'm working on it!!! This is just some pic's i like!" end quote.

A gullwing Starion would be very cool. So would a 3000GT/GTO, but I would definitely put it on a diet first!

My Staz replacement would be a series 8 RX-7.
Yes the RX-7, the original car nicknamed rex, before stoopid wrx owners took over the rex name.

I would want to keep my widebody, and get a Gull-Wing, then also get a GTO wth a nice kit, and get the single turbo. Maybe another big GT35 turbo. They are my dream cars. Oh, and maybe an EVO 6.5 or 8 down the track.

My understanding of the gullwing is they were produced for a never made police show in japan (Gorilla force??) by a 3rd party coach builder (not mitsu).
The 3000GT was originally to be badged a 'Starion GTO' but got changed late in the manufacturing process. Hence the plastic garnish you spoke of.
