It's not hard to get information at all. It looks like our Japanese friend gave you the information. You just don't seem happy with it.
But anyway, keep asking....
Hello Takaharu SEKI !! Please read :P
The problem is that it is hard to get detailed infomation. I am happy with the infomation Takaharu gave me because he has always been consistent even after I questioned it.
How deep should the dish in the DASH pistons be in mm ?
How can you tell if it's a RWD or FWD block ? That is, what are the distinct differences between the RWD and FWD blocks ?
Also the 85-86 Starions were intercooled or was this optional ? Because if you look at this website, you can see a RWD vehicle with the cross-over pipe away from the turbo > http://www5c.biglobe.ne.jp/~penpeng/pag ... /dom85.htm
I am not really gathering this information for myself, I am just trying to gather a history of the DASH Engines and all the variations available so that next time someone has a question, we can give them a more accurate answer instead of guessing.
Thanks Takaharu

Both the engine bay shots on that page show intercooled starions. With Jap imports, what you get is what you get, there ware way to many options and trim levels o get a definitave list. Ive looked at so many here in NZ, and no 2 are alike. Also, so many have been modded and changed that its anyones guess these days. I had a 1985 GSR-V. You'd think it'd be 5 stud and 12valve right? Negatory, 4 stud and 8 valve, but with no jet valves. Who knows what it had from the factory tho.toysrus wrote:Also the 85-86 Starions were intercooled or was this optional ?
