interested

Post by WidebodyWoody »

I am interested. I am building my staz for show and race. Soon I will be running 14psi everyday (like I am now) and want to put it up to atleast 20psi for racing when ever I want to rather then touching a steaming hot boost controller. Pics and details would be awesome thanks.

There may be a way yar can go from 14 too 20 just not a hundered percent sure on how it will work. they way I've got mine set is so I can go from 7-12.

I'll get some pic an a diagram sorted out ASAP, just will need help on how to get them on here, when I get them on the computer. what would be beter a short clip or just pictures?

The easiest way is to take There are two easy ways to put them on the net. Firstly is e-mail the pics directly to me at awood@post.qantm.com.au or put them on image shack. The best way is to put them on image shack so that everyone can see.

To put them on image shack you:
1) put pics on computer
2) goto http://imageshack.us/
3) upload pics one by one
4) once picture is uploaded, it will tell you the images URL
5) once the pictures are loaded, you come here and post a reply
6) in your reply click the Img button and it should show Image
9) press enter and repeat Img process until all pictures are done and post the reply
10) then your reply should show the pics.

all i need is the solenoid and i'm set. you can only go from standard to a set psi determined by the controller... actually, i've never thought about using 2 controllers...

You can use the solenoids they use in LP gas installations. Closed, standard boost, open (powered) max boost. But why not just have max boost all the time

How does it limit the boost when the car is cold? Maybe there's a way of manipulating that for boost control?
I believe the cars run 7-8psi stock, and when cold are limited to about 3psi, so if you raised boost to about 14psi, would the cold limit go up accordingly?

There is an extra line off the wastegate that does it (I think) Have to look up one of the tech bulletins I have, I vaguely remember seeing something about it in there. I doubt the cold limit will go up with it, unless you add something in that line too.

my cordia had a 12psi?? boostcut, i got a 10psi pressure switch and a relay then made it disconnect the yellow wire on the 'MAP' (is it yellow on a staz?) so once the boost reached 10psi the gauge on the dash would drop to 0psi then start working again after boost went under 10psi. I left it unplugged for a day or so, the car wasn’t happy about it so I plugged the switch back in....

my 2 cents.
I figured out the meaning of life, and since then every day just gets worse.

I diconected one of the yellow wires once an tryed it but didn't seem to work properly on me staz. I cant remember exactly what happend but I'm prety sure it wouldnt run all that good, so I have it conected the wire back up an running 7psi normaly an 12psi when she's needs it.

Anyway with the pic I did manage to get them on me computer but I couldn't get them up here due to my computer being a pain in the ass an taking forever to uploade just 5 pics. but I think they did manage to get sent to "WidebodyWoody" so with a bit of luck he might post them up for yars if you want.
