Oldies sons test drive

Post by OLD FART »

No 1 son GURU was visiting so in a rash moment thought that he might like a short drive in my JB that he is wont to call "his inheritance" so seeing he is no longer a teenager I foolishly sent him off on his own

Some time later he arrives back and complains of "a horrible grinding noise at 60 k's when slowing. I know that it is only the solid centre clutch plate so no worries ,then he tells me he was giving it a squirt and suddenly lost all power and I asked "what revs were you doing?" "dunno" says he so I inform him that seeing it's a stroker the rev limit cut is 7200 and hope it was only in 1st as he would have been a fair bit over the 70&80 k limit where he went. Have marked date on calender so If any tickets arrive they will be posted to him. :o  :glare:
I've had mine since 03 07 92

Expected him to give it a little squirt up to the posted limit and he was away for some time so I /we must assume that the rev limiter hit was only in 2nd and only in a 100 k zone
