Southern Highlands run.

Post by Vulpes »

Took the staz and the missus down the Southern Highlands last long weekend. This was taken Gibraltar Lookout near bowral. The car ran faultlesly, it amazes me how this 30 year old car sits in the shed week after week yet it fires up first time every time and never gives me a minute of trouble.

It took some blood, sweat and tears to get it to that condition. You bought well to get that car to original specs (and some more)....
I think you're fortunate you don't have fuel injection issues (Series II helps) and the suspension being in good shape to preserve the front spoiler!! :)

Yer thanks, I am lucky I guess with the FI, people tell me they give trouble but all the JA's I've had have never given me a minute of trouble.

I'm with Daz. I've had more trouble with my only JB fuel injection than all the JAs before it!
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...
How?

I'll third that. Particularly the mechanical idle control system is more reliable.
