The tyre is just touching the top locking nuts.
Wheel; 17x8 +15
Tyre: 225/45/17

What wheel and tyre combos are the rest of the guys running with the D2's?

Put 14" rims and low profile tyres on.

Or spacers.

15mm spacers to take the offset to 0.
I was running 17x8s with 225s on my old starion with standard shocks with no issues, seems the same for a few others on here.

No first hand experience to help you with sorry, but for interest sake, what does the ride height look like between tyre and guard at that setting?

Thanks guys,

I was talking to John today and he figured out the problem. I have the bottom (black nut) set too low. The bottom of spring to the silver washer was 80mm. Need to be about 110mm. This will put the purple locking nuts up higher and awayfrom the tyre. Problem solved (will confirm tomorrow). Thanks John! :beer

With it set at 80mm the guard is level with the top of the tyre or slightly below when the car is on car stands, if it was on the ground and the springs compressed, the tyre would probably be another 40mm up inside the guard. (Too low)

More preload on the spring wont help this problem.
