Thornleigh Wakefield park supersprint 4th July

Post by mrb1 »

Hi,
considering entering the sprint meeting on this day. Anybody interested? This is a proper "rice free" CAMS sprint meeting. Which for those who don't know is timed laps against the clock. Various classes for different types of cars. A wide variety of vehicles turn up there is a class for everything.
The host club is Thornleigh Sporting Car club.

I'm interested, but I'm not sure if I'll be ready to enter by then.

Can membership + CAMS licenses be organised on the day? How much is it for the event?

What class does a MPI'ed, boosted and intercooled Staz fall into? I think this puts me up against some pretty serious race cars, so I'm mainly in it for some proper timed laps.

Mark,

A tentative yes - Car is prob about 3 weeks of finished barring mishaps and delays and also on how the shake downs go before then. Otherwise I think I will.

Cheers
Greg

We would be scraping it fine for July 4th. I want at least a open practice day to sort the car out and make sure everything is working well.

Definitely the next one though.

Its actually called Thornleigh Car Club and you need to be a member of an invited club, not an open meeting.

I will be there. Would be good to see a few other Starions there.

Demost,
that's right but I'm in the Hills District Car club and we are an invited club :D So you can join HDCC on the day I will find out the costs. Not sure what the entry fee is no sup regs yet.
You need a CAMS 2S license ($83.00 but lasts for a year) but you can get that on the day as well.

I will not be attending. I thought having 2 Starions would increase my chances of running something. However it seems to be causing twice as much trouble.
Same amount of money available going in 2 directions = half the progress!
