firebreathing starion fights back

my brother has started welding and since my starion track car is an extremely budget build we decided to make up the exhaust out of half the original and some old C shaped piece of escort exhaust.

my brother welded it nicely so the exhaust sticks out the side around halfway down the drivers door - note there is no mufflers just a straight through exhaust

it was still up on the jackstands when he decided to start it up and test it out. my starion runs on 2 maybe 3 cylinders atm with the turbo doing absolutley nothing.

anyway he built the revs up and POW! a huge flame spat out and singed a huge patch on his pants.

Maybe it was one of those 'had to be there moments' but i thought it was funny (he's ok btw)

Haha yeh true! I was tramping it pretty hard then, and the Microtech definitely runs a bit richer. Pretty happy that it makes flames tho! I think I've heard it do it a couple of times since, but never sure cos I can't see it. That was a fun drive back :)
