Check these ebay links. The auto Jap import could be written off?

Doesn't appear to be a dash motor though. Could you get a dash auto?

The earlier posts showing the GSR car does not have a shot of the engine, which would have proved whether or not it was a DASH powered GSR-?

None of the brochures I have a Dash powered Auto!

The engine in the chrysler galant is a 8v motor with the type 2 (JB/JD style throttle body). So technically, this was not a 1987 GSR-V but a sad loss nonetheless!

Mal this car was for sale down the road from Charlies place years ago. I almost bought it but didn't want a auto, or the maroon velour interior. The import yard was asking 7k with no compliance at the time and wouldn't budge on the price. It then appeared on here in another state months later. Yes that car has a dash engine, but in the ebay links it does not appear to be the same motor i saw.
I was thinking the same as Mrbishi as what car it was out of when i read the adds last night  Something just doesn't add up.

You may be right on the money Ray.
One less means the value of GSR-V's goes up! :)

the thickness of the silver or white inserted colour looks to be in the wrong side of the V, to my eyes anyway..

I think he is getting DASH mixed up with Sirius....there's nothing Dash about that engine! No Dual Action (3x2) happening there!

He is also getting his GSR stuff mixed up. A GSR-V that is not actually a GSR-VR (imagine if it was a 2L GSR-VR...$$$) and a GSR-V that should be labelled a GSR-II...being an auto and without the Dash engine!

After that explanation, no wonder! LOL
