Just thought I would post this up for any one who may be interested in a lift down.
I am hiring a 25 seater mini bus to drive down to Bathurst, departing on the Thursday afternoon 8th October arriving for a camp on top of the Mountain which has been booked ready, then driving back up first thing on the Monday morning the 12th October.
There will be a few spots on the bus which will cost about $125 each (this covers the bus hire and fuel based on about 18 guys - we need the rest of the bus to store our gear). If you were keen to camp with us on top of the mountain it would be another $30 approximately for the camping.
If you do want in let me know asap as I know they will fill quickly I already have 12 booked.
P.S. This is a trip from Brisbane straight to the Mountain

Sounds like an excellent chance for Staz owners to meet & greet.
I'll be there as well, camping on top of the mountain.
Maybe we another thread to discuss this one. :)

Update and last call for boarding, don't miss this opportunity to be on top of the mountain for the big race! Budget priced and an absolute great bunch of guys.
Below is a final briefing I sent to a mate in the Chrysler club:
Hey Darryl,
Would you mind putting a little note in the next Roadrunner letting any one who might be interested in a trip to Bathurst in on the one I and a few mates have organised: basically we have hired a 22 seater with trailer and have about 5 spare spots. A camp site is booked on the mountain top at Mc Phillamy park. Costs are $115 for the bus (+ we will divide up the fuel bill), $25 for camping and a 4 day ticket is $115. Food is cheap as we have a kitchen in our trailer. Great bunch of 'motoring enthusisasts including myself, Chris Hayes, my dad and a few other odd bods. If any one comes to mind or you could stick it up on the forum, would be great as we need to finalise details over the next couple of weeks.
Cheers Steve
P.S. We will depart Brisbane on the Thursday late avo and depart Bathurst early Monday morning following the great race.
