Paki, I looked at your jd last time it was on ebay for sale. To be honest there is no way you would pay 7k for it. It has some very good points but it has high k's and is in need of some work. If you don't believe me look here http://www.forums.austarion.com/viewtop ... highlight=
I wish you all the best in selling the vehicle, and if someone buys it they will be happy knowing they have a rare collectors car. If you are serious about buying a widey i am willing to let you come and look at mine, so you can see the difference and make up your mind for sure.

Vulpes this is one of your old Starions

I am not trying to start a arguement, just trying to help you get a perspective of what your car is worth. You are on here wanting to buy a widey for cheap, and wanting to sell your jd for top dollar. All i am trying to say is, if you lower your price a bit then someone will buy it. The car has not been registered in years and as a consequence will require some money spent on the fuel system, as old fuel seems to rust out the fuel tanks on these cars. There is a perfectly good jd for sale in Vic that should give you a baseline value for your car. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/pri ... &silo=1011

Just as a reference, my widey was a 87 and had 57,000km's on it. I have driven it a bit and is now up around the 126,000km mark, but still, I never plan on selling my widey.

I wish it was leather, and it will be one day after the engine is done, but I find the seats WAY more comfortable. The JA seats I don't like much. I considered going to bucket seats but the Widebody seats are just too comfortable to do that. Plus I like original.

I love the widebody guards and spoilers, but I love the JA bonnet more then the other. Also love the JD and widey rear pillar vents. And you gotta love that LSD :D
I find the seats WAY more comfortable in my widey too. If I could get a set for my narrow body car I would take the race seats out in a heart beat. And they are leather....
And I prefer the cloth over the leather..... But thats just me. Ive had JAs with leather seats and it just gets hard and cracks....

Not me in the mr2! and like i said your more than welcome to look at my widebody, and see if you really want to sell you jd in order too get one. That's good news that your car has no fuel related issues, and like i said it is a great collectors car. All us widebody owners pretty much know each other and if you want to see a few wideys and narrows together, i am sure we could orgaise a cruise and could continue our friendly discussion.

www.18u, sorry i wasnt implying that charlie was hiding anything, it was merely an example to show that a low priced widey comes with hidden costs.
Starions are a disease, the only cure is poverty.

Paki, I may be wrong but I think I used to own that JD, I put the JA vents on the b pillar and I remember it had that cobra alarm. Here are some shots of it when
i had it. Dont know what has happened to the JA bonnet since i sold it about 8 years ago ?
