Post by TOMSUN »

Guys,

Hands up who would be interested in buying a set of wheels (BRAND NEW) for their Starion.

Stud Pattern 4x114.3
Fronts 17x7.5 +12 Offset :D (Can use for rears also)
Rears 17x9.5 +12 Offset :D (For staggered option)

Modern 5 spoke design.

Colour Options: Bronze, Gold, Silver, Black, Gunmetal Grey (Either fully painted or with Polished Lip)

Just trying to work out how many people as looking for wheels at the moment.

Would it foul on the strut? Or hang out too far?

The 9.5 will foul on the strut as well as stick out too far.

So, fronts would be fine with the 17x7.5 +10?

What about the rears 17x9.5 +10? Should be fine on the inside and the guard might need rolling??

^^^ yep spot on. kit runs 18X10's rear with +12, and the guards are rolled.

The need for guard rolling will depend on the chosen tyre size (and brand ;))

7.5 or even 8" +10 will fit fine on the front. Plenty of room on the rears for 9.5's

Ok... the the wheels that I was think of are
Rota P-45F (Front) http://www.rotawheels.com/wheels.asp?wheelid=30
Rota P-45R (Rear) http://www.rotawheels.com/wheels.asp?wheelid=31

Best price so far is
Wheels US$700
Freight US$400!?
Total US$1,100
@ $0.65 crappy exchange that's A$1,700

If the dollar gets better and freight costs can be minimised then it could be a goer.

Yeah the design is very popular.

Koya Driftek - Rears are ok (17x9.5 +18) Fronts are a problem (17x8 +35)
BEE RACING 5R - 5 stud only with wrong offset. 17x9 +25 and about $1950 a set!

And neither are avaliable with a polished lip which looks awesome
