83 euro 2.0 Factory Service Manual (is this it?)

Post by mech »

Hi,

Are FSM available for 83 Euro starions?

I moved to greece from the states a few months ago, and met a guy here who has a 83 2.0 Euro starion. He asked me if i knew where to get the FSM for his car.

I have the 83 FSM for the cars that were sold in the states. But after looking at his car, there seems to be a number of different engine electronics that did not come equipped in the american versions. Plus, of course the engine itself.

So the 83 FSM i have might be totally different than the 83 euro FSM (if one even exists). I really dont know.

thanks

They are available, but I've not seen one online.

I have a original 83 manual with all the electrics with 84 supplement.... in Dutch

But if you need to know something specific I could scan a couple of pages and give you a rough translation.

well, nothing specific. he wants a manual for when he has issues, so hes not having to guess, or swap parts back and forth from his parts cars.

maybe i should post in the wanted section?

if i cant find an actual manual, maybe i will look to the PDF file. but i would much rather have a manual in hand....

is this the book i need?

and is this a good site to buy from?

http://www.pitstop.net.au/view/marques- ... plu/17579/

on the site it says dimensions are 15 x 21. Is that inches or centimeters?

I ask because i found it on E-bay UK. and it says:
The manual is called “Pocket Mechanic” and produced in a handy glove-pocket size with the aim that it should be kept in the vehicle whilst you are travelling.
which makes it seem likes it small.

on amazon UK

well you can assume it's 15x21 cm.. or it would not be "pocket size" that's about A5 paper size

I also found it on amazon.com in the states. but the price is 65 american dollars.

on the amazon UK and ebay UK, its 16 pounds which = 30 dollars. So its twice as much in the states! Maybe because its imported to the states?

yea. im so used to the crappy standard system.

15 x 21 cm = 6 x 8 inches.

Thats damn small! I dont think i have ever seen a "pocket sized" service manual, besides the one you get when you buy a new car.

but its 200 pages, which would hardly make it pocket sized. it should be more like "glove box" sized.

65 dollars for that??

Does anyone know if this is the only book available? its all i could find....

I have a photocopy of that book, its the only one I've found.

Yep I think it has two pages every A4 page but is good.
