motec is the best but way to over priced. Where as other ecu's such as haltech are almost as good but way cheaper.

Ive run motec-haltec-microtech-Link and EMS
with good results from all, Motec M4 was the best
till a niggling ignition drop out turned to no start
then I got a cheap EMS and Ive shorted it-overheated it-
had it in water and its come good every time

I'm real happy with my haltech e11v2. Magnificent piece of equipment. Now it would be even better if I could get my car back together and play with it again :D

I think haltech is the closest thing to motec without the butt rape

Id think Autronic would be on par with Motec. Still expensive but not quite as much as Motec.

Look for more than just the unit..like who can tune it and who has a good back up service and parts.
It will shit you to tears if you have a problem and your supplier wont answer the phone or answer emails for 3 days because he's gone fishing.

Never a true`er statement made on this subject:

If you nave issues with your ECU, youll want service
from your tuner or supplier and IT DONT HAPPEN most
of the time, And saying that, There are a lot of PPL
who get a good map from thier tuner, then tune themselves (like me)
because you can always go back to you tuners map (right ?)
