13.09 @ 108mph with a slipping clutch. then when we did the rerun on the 3rd nov all we got in qualifying was a 13.4 as the pickup in the dissy was playing up and giving us false rpm readings to the ecu's... frustrating! then snapped the lhr driveshaft off behind the spline on the first elimination round on the start line.......

yeah people are scared of low compression but exhaust housing A/R has WAY more to do with spool rpm than compression ratio. modern turbo engines run a lot of compression because they have a nice pentroof 4 valve cylinder head and they can get away with it. 2 valve heads are never as easy to do that with.
the KKR430 runs a little .58 housing. its all about balancing exh A/R and head flow. that orange thing is on 15 psi by 3000rpm! it is a shitload better to drive down low than a stock starion. yes the 2.4 head is mild ported, nothing dramatic i just took the sharp edges off the port floor and took casting marks off the walls, blended the seats etc. just a basic tidy up. downside to that head is u cant run a metal head gasket as the chamber is oval and runs over the 4G63 firing ring lip
