hey all, ive recently got a new exhaust on my JA and ive now got a problem with the dipstick poping out of its pipe, im not quite sure why its doing it but it is a little annoying having oil all over the engine and turbo, :x

ive noticed that the boost has raised from 0.6 to 0.7 after 4500 rpm and im thinking that added pressure has something to do with it,

so any ideas or tips would be appreciated, ive had a look for a similar topic but ive had no luck,

isn't this caused by "blow by", where air gets past your pistons and cause there to be pressure in the crank case. this is not good.

Yeah, your engine may be giving out!

For a temp fix though, you can buy a large spring and hold it down! That's what I did till I got my new engine...

The rubber seal at the top of the d/stick will have seen better days and will be popping out due to crankcase preasure under boost so u need a light spring to hold it in like Clunkie says
