Hi, as you know i own now GustiX's starion so for you who have sold him something must have some info.

I was wondering if aftermarket connecting rods will fit those pistons.
I think Starion VR4 had sell'd him Oversized pistons 0.20" over.

I was thinking about Eagle rods and King bearings. Does this all fit together?

King DSM 6-Bolt Main/Rod Bearings

So what i mean is WHAT EXACLY does fit our sirius 4g63t soch engines FROM Eclipse DSM 4g63t doch engines ?

But first off all, does this fit :)

The rods in the starion are the same as the 6bolt DOHC engines so those should fit.

Bearings & crankshaft are also the same.
Just make sure you get stuff intended for the 6 bolt engine (89-92)

Yes but some guy's here in iceland are saying that:

Rods in eclipse 89-92 6-bolt is for wristpin
and he thinks it is also in starion 6-bolt soch.

But he sais that aftermarket rods for eclipse are for aftermarket pistons that uses circlip(split) instead of wristpin.

If that is true, then i have another problem, get myself a aftermarket pistons for starion, i cannot use doch ones because of valve cutout in pistons are not the same as in soch.

Aren't there some sites that sells VR4 pistons or some afthermarket stuff that fits our sirius soch g63 engines ?

As far as I know you can use VR4/Eclipse Turbo pistons in a starion block and still use the SOHC head.

Ask members on this forum that have forgies

The stock rods for the 1G 6bolt eclipse are identical to those in the starion 4g63.

absolutely u can use the dohc pistons, they arent just something that "fits", but are a preformance upgrade in themselves as the crown shape is way better..

i have done quite a few with dohc pistons (i call them "VR4 pattern" as the galant VR4 was what they came in here in australia) and i never use "starion" pistons anymore as they are, well, SHIT!
