External Gate's Setup

Post by WidebodyWoody »

Hey guys.

Sorry just wanting to throw a question out there.

I now have a new External Gate. Thanks flav.

But I need to know where the top vac hose is best to plum into. The bottom (or side one) is plummed into boost. Which is fine, and I am sure the top one is ment to be plummed into Vac. However, I am wonding if anyone knows of a good place to do this. The turbosmart ones say to plum it into the air intake pipe between the air filter and the turbo, but that wouldn't work for cars that don't have a filter on the turbo. So any other ideas?

Thanks

hmm ok its just because it is running 4psi now. I suppose a manual boost controller would do the trick. The spring that was in it before was huge I think

Could always put a few washers under the wastegate mounting tabs to space it out a bit :) that will make it actuate a bit later and should mean more boost :D
