Suspension......Again.

Is there anyone out there who can explain or show pictures of how the struts are modified to take koni's or other suspension parts. Preferably front and rear. I ask because i need to do mine badly and i know i can get everything modified or parts manufactured cheaper than taking it somewhere to do it. So anyone with any info please help me.
