Starion doing the sleeper sleepy eyes

Post by androoz »

has anyone here managed to get it going?

i saw some starions doing it on this site.. just wondering how you guys did it..?

in the 180's, the pop up lights had a little winder in the head light motor you can just simply turn.. i didnt think there is something similar in the starion.. but just wondering

lie on floor, look up under lights, remove wire clip and rubber boot thing and there is you winder. the manual states YOU MUST DISCONECT THE MOTOR (the 6 or so pin round connector) when manualy moveing lights. every pop-up light since the dawn of time has these.

What scum said, but remove the headlight motor fuse first, that way they won't automatically override themselves while you're winding them up.

or if you're fast, then have your hand on the headlight fuse (next to your right knee when sitting in the drivers seat, turn the lights on, and when they're halfway up, pull the fuse out and they'll stay there.

i was reading in HPI a while ago about using a 2$ switch (i think the ones that only switch if youre depressing the switch i they're called always off switches)on the wire to the lights and using it to stop the light before it's all the way maybe if you put one of these on the wire to the fuse you can use it as a lazy eyes switch anyone got any ideas??

yup, this would work.. :D any sort of switch would do... doesnt matter if its always on or always off.. just run the wire into the cabin. simple as that.

Whats the reason to make the headlights half stick up? I can't think of any.

How about make your windows only half close? Or make the bonnet half close? Or the hatch maybe?

Supposedly to help intake and cooling. Air comes in under the headlights, but I don't think it flows through on our cars.

I just did it then by pulling the fuse out, looks pretty cool, certainly something different.

There's a thread about it here:

And pics of a switch on the fuse here:

Is there any reason why a setup like this wouldn't work? This way you could have the switch in a better place than the fusebox:
