whats a safe amount of boost to boost a stock starion turbo without an intercooler, without making the turbo work too hard?

I would say 12psi.. provided the engine is in good condition and ignition timing is set correctly.
But be prepared to get a few varied opinions.

I run 10psi with no cooler, but my turbo is pretty rooted.
Just be prepared for the engine to die a bit quicker

Hmmm depends where u are! If in a cold country I would tend to agree with the blue furry one but in Aus.......
Mine ran awfully hot with 12psi but that was with an after market computer. And the engine was in good condition.
Don't think I would run more than 10.

Mine didn't like more than 10psi with no cooler, started pinging when boosting sometimes. Cooler helped heaps but now I just run 10psi anyway :?
