AUS Spec Starions and Petrol for the JA/JB

hey guys sorry if its been asked, but i couldnt find it in a search..

is it okay to use Premium Unleaded or Optimax petrol on a JA/JB which has a leaded engine?

im not too sure on this issue..

Yes, it's OK. In fact it's highly recommended.

Hey man,
Optimax is ok but for the same price you can get BP Ultimate with higher octane. and the optimax degrades over time alot quicker than other known fuels, so I recommend ultimate :)

what he said. Optimax is "around 98 octane"
Ultimate and 8000 are guaranteed 98 or higher

all the optimax pumps in bathurst say 96 octane?? it must loose 2 points in transport from melbourne, it also seems to be dearer here?? LOL

Do u have to empty ur tank first or is it ok if u throw ultimate in when u got say half a tank of leaded? :wtf:

well considering there isn't leaded petrol anymore (for onroad cars) just some shitty replacement crap that clogs the pores of your engines face leading to pimples and sists until it blows its head off, premium unleaded is a good option. :D

hahaha, um...good question, how many post do i have to make to not love starions because i have a lovely wife and i hate the starion, and if i didn't enjoy driving it soo much, and talking to you "mostly" lovely bunch of people, i would sell it hehe.
