Yes there was a HKS F-CON for the 2.0 Starion that's what was in the GroupA cars. However they are just a piggy back type system and don't control the timing. You are far better off with an Australian aftermarket ECU. A lot of the Jap stuff is way overpriced rubbish. They are way behind with programmable EFI, they were 15 years ago and still are. But hey if you like pretty light's who I am to stop you.

I agree with mbr1, the money you spend on the hks, you could put into an aftermarket computer which will be able to run multipoint rather than using the hks piggyback and using throttle body injection
Starions are a disease, the only cure is poverty.

They might have run them at one stage early on, but they were running motec by the late 80's.

I don't know about this model Microtec. I prefer an ECU that is Laptop programmable because you can do data logs which is fantastic for tuning and other testing.

ic, for this all aftermarket ecu,can we still use the original type distributor or must change it to the electronic point type (example vr4) if do,what type can be use directly to this JA engine, without modification.

thank you

You will have to ask Microtec I don't know anything about the MT8?
People use the DASH optical distributor (which fits straight in)when the ECU does the ignition timing.

Yes that's right. But again check with Microtec. The DASH distributor has an optical pickup. It has a main trigger and a home (CYL1) trigger. There are four wires, ground, +5V supply from ECU, main trigger and home (CYL1) trigger.
