widebody JDM speed alert

Post by NXTIME »

Anyone know how to get rid of the speed alert that is on Jap-spec Starions? Comes on at 100kph.

'Door open' chimes are novel, but the speed alert jingle is getting annoying...

My GSR-X had the speed chime, it was handy on the open road - when the chime wasn't going, I had to go faster

Soon after I got the car I posted a message on bishiboys asking how to turn the damn thing off. Only Cookie replied, I believe his response was 'Sidecutters.' :P I never did figure out how to turn it off..

if you can find the speaker trace the wires back and by rights they should go into a box that accepts signal from the speedo, doors, lights etc then use a test light to find out which is speedo signal and cut it.

i'm just going on 1 + 1 = 2 ... it needs an "on" signal sent to a control box for the speaker

from what I found when trying to find it on mine, the door chime etc is a little speaker under teh dash. The over speed chime actually sounds like one of those metal music box's. Doesn't sound like a speaker. If it is, I WANNA FIND IT.

man what are you talking about, thats the warning that your flux capacitor needs more plutonium

Maybe they programed it into etacs? might be a switch under the seat on the box.
