NXTIME, what type of Odyssey battery are you running? What CCA is it rated at?

Time for me to buy one.

Yep. Its the smaller sized one - half the size (and weight) of a regular battery. Can be mounted any way. I will have mine on its side with a cover plate. They recharge very quick, but also go flat just as quick. However, I have never had a problem with mine.

I have an 800CCA Optima marine battery - same size as the standard battery but it is an unstoppable beast.. not cheap though, and I don't think it will save any weight :)

Yes, but it's handy because you can leave your lights on for over 3 hours and come back and start the car :)

Unlike my smaller version, with the park lights only lasting 3 hours.

I have been using an Exide Evolution battery for the last 3 years. It's about 540cca. I keep swapping it from one car to another as i need it, and at one point in time it was being used by my mum and dad for lights and so on when they went camping.

For the last couple of weeks i have been on arvo shift, so i drive my Scorp into the workshop and turn the stereo (Old school Kenwood headunit, amp and 6x9's) right up so it can be heard easily. It will stay at max volume for up to 9 hours non stop. The car will still start first turn of the key afterwards.
