Oil Overfill Question

What would/could happen to an engine if instead of tipping in 4 litres of engine oil, you put in 7 litres and took it for a 200km drive?

I'm thinking extra drag on the crank as it would be dipping into it so more throttle to keep at a constant speed. Aeration of oil leading to oil pump cavitation and oil starvation?

Thoughts?

The main concern is aeration of the oil since it'll get churned by the crank. Could result in a loss of oil pressure and/or high oil temps.

also extra oil being splashed up onto the bores to create a very smoky engine!
