Hi Guys/Girls

I currently have a JD Staz LSD in the race car. I have turned the wheels and counted the revolutions of the tailshaft and i worked it out to be a 3.9 ratio.

I want a 4.1 ratio or shorter (4.3) How do i go about it?

I also have a spare 3.54 auto diff which i dont mind playing around with as i would hate to ruin a good LSD.

Try looking at Mitsi commercials.
I've seen a 4.22:1 diff (L200??) and you can easily get 4.625:1 out of L300s. It's up to you to work out if they will fit into the JD or JA size diffs.
Should be a cheap experiment though.

Thanks for the replys. I think 4.6 will be to short Mark, especialy for the run down hill at Barbagello.

4.1 would be ideal, anyone done this before? :?

I've read bits and pieces on Starquest about Mighty Max diff internals being used in Staz case. Mighty Max is like an L200 from what I can tell.
If you hit a dead end here, ask on Starquest and see what's available/doable.

Possible available gears for the LSD are as follows:

3:54 (Original US LSD Gears)
3:90 (From Mit Pick-up trucks L200 OZ Mighty Max US)
4:22 (Mit Trucks, 4x4's and 2x4's Montero's Pajero's L300's ect)
4:625's (Mit Trucks 4x4's and 2x4's Montero's Pajero's L300's ect)

Hope this helps

As far as bearings and seals they should be available rather easily. I am sure someone here can point you in the right direction.

As far as the friction disks, these are obsolete so used will be your only option.

Cheers
