hi guys and girls, looking for some info on sirius 4g63bt 1.8? i got myself a lb lancer sedan i'm doing a ground up rebuild on,i was going to go the worked 2.6 astron way but a dude offered me a 4g63bt 1800 cc motor and 5 speed with microtech ecu for 500 bucks,he said this is a import motor so i i want to know if they are hard to get parts for or hard to modify here in oz or are they basically just a turbo cordia donk.just wondering if you guys cuold quote me some power figures, turbo size etc.some people say the tc05 and tc06 turbos wont support big hp.is this true?cause ball bearing garret's cost a mint and i don' want that added expense!!should i buy the sirius or should i build myself a hairy astron????my astron inspiration comes from a little yellow galant wagon that used to have spastik plates on it,jeez that thing could go,he reckons he had 550 horse at the treads!!22 psi boost though.any help, ideas or opinions on my conversion would be most appreciated.thanks guys.

Umm, a kinda messy post, so forgive me if I miss anything.

4G63BT is 2.0 not 1.8 4G62BT is 1.8...

I'm assuming that you didn't get a turbo with it? A TC05 is probably big enough for anything you'll do with it without paying big $$$.

A TC06 is big enough to race with.

Both are pretty big relative to what comes stock on newer cars.

Is it NS or EW mountings ?? If it's EW, it's probably a Cordia engine.

$500 for a good engine and Microtech is probably a good price.

what are yourplans for the LB?
Circiut race, Drag, quik street?

TC06's on starions have supported 160kw@wheels, but to my knowledge, no one has got more from them. There are alot of mitsu turbo's available in the TD series that will suport much higher power. And for a lot less $ than any GT Garrett
