In short yes it will fit. Heaps of room. Go for it.
Let us know how you get on in case one of us want to do it.

why not an FJ20 det? obviously easy as they came out in this vehicle originally (and DR30 skyline) the FJ head flows more than an SR and doesn`t have rockers or other top end problems..

but if u want an SR then yes i believe it can be done. sump dish location (front or rear) is the only place u might have to alter (by installing a sump off a different SR)

id say go hard with the sr20!!!
they are such a universal conversion, ( had heaps of fun with one in a u12 bluebird )
and they are easy for parts etc AND THEY GO!!!!

ca18det be cheaper, and SR is the more modern supported engine parts wise

but i have seen a ca powered blue bird and believe me that went hard too 180kw at wheels easy

well the 4G63 twin cam is a very nice packaged engine especially with a few lil tweaks

but i have fallen in love with the bullet proof toyota 2JZ as in my Mk4 supra, days of me owning a starion are over now

one day i plan to build a nice sigma like i once had
