Cold start issue

Finally got back to working on JAStarion ... Have found that when the car is cold ... it runs rough.. as if running on 3cyl... exhaust is rich with fuel ...
I am assuming that I have possibly got a blocked injector .. when the car has warmed up and it is stopped and restarted everything seems to be ok
Does any body have diagram / pic ..for the carby/ injection system .
I assume that there is something that controls cold starting that is not working properly
Thanks ..Barry

I had a similar problem with my beemer, turned out that something in the dizzy was causing none of the injectors bar the cold start injector to work until the car was warm.

Hmm, sounds a hell of a lot like my vac line issue! I had a disconnected vac line and it ran like that, was wrecking my head till I found it! Double check that all are connected and that none are blocked! My cold start doesn't work, but doesn't affect the engine too much, I just have to manually hold the accelerator to warm her up! :D

That's what i ended up doing after i posted the note ..holding the rev at about 1200 rpm ..
only thing was then it started to back fire @ 1200 rev and the rpm would drop and then come back up,would not stay constant ...
when it warmed up .. took it for a run down the road ... (being careful not to run into the boys in blue as its not regersted yet )..
Seemed to be slugish and miss till i got over 60 k ..
my thoughts are still fuel but I'm open to all your suggestions ..
I did check the vac line .. all are in place and some have been replaced..
(Keeping in mind that this has been sitting in a shed for the last 2 yrs and i have just done the mod to the balance shaft...have checked the timing and is 8 deg )

Change the fuel filter! Get the one for the Hyundai Excel though, not the Starion!

See how that goes... :?

Depends which area you live in but I would highly recommend you didn't drive the car on public roads till it was registered, as Police check rego's very often, more so to run history checks on possible driver for outstanding warrants, but it'll come up as unregistered also
Fixed
