hey guys im considering puttin a roll cage in my ja starion still deciding if i should go half cage or a full cage im setting up the car for drifting. This car is also driven on the street

Can any one help me out on advice on rollcages weather i should go half or full and any problems i might have

the right half cage would be ample but,
if you are gunna put a cage in you might as well put a proper full one in,
just takes a bit to get used to :D getting in and out,

but if you wanna drift and slide, its the only way to go

A check of the rules BEFORE you spend the money is a great idea.

If you're events are CAMS santioned (I don't know, hopefully you do) then there is a Schedule J regarding the fitment of rollcages. So often people get what they think is required, then find they've used incorrect materials, wrong specification of tubing, welding and mounts. Basically means you've got to pull it out and start again (Read: huge waste of $)

So do as per my first sentence and you'll be on the right path.

If you go to the following link it will provide you with the basic outline of what roll cages are allowed to be fitted into vehicles' according to what events you are competeing in. There is also a CAMS manual that is available that you will need to have if a CAMS licence is required to drive in the event. Also bear in mind that certain roll cages actually make a car unroadworhty, so check with the local authorities (if that bothers you.....)
