Just woundering what did the 4g63 came out in with its naturally aspirated form. Would it get much more performance with a NA cam in it rather than the turbo cam?
Mates of mine have a 180SX with the CA in it. They put some cams in it out of an Exa and they felt a power gain in it cause the cams are a little bigger.
Would it be a cheap and useful upgrade for my JA?
What does a NA 4g come out in?

SOHC N/A cam & turbo R the same, ground cams for 11 years at Camshaft engineering, performance cam from them is CE1001, good results
DOHC cams are different, VR4 have roller cams, N/A Skid rocker, yes N/A cams R different on some engines.

MY CAR! HG and HH Galant GSR's had the 4G63 DOHC in N/A Form. I'm not a cam expert, but the cams in my car don't really come alive until about 4200rpm + (redline 7000rpm, rev limit 7500rpm, peak power 6000rpm).
So did the UK's Galant GTi.
There was an AMG Tuned Galant in Europe. They had revised cams, producing 125kw @ 8000rpm. This must be the toughest 2.0 N/A in 1990 I think.
Some Hyundai Sonata's are 2.0 I believe, they would also have this motor.

they haven't closed down, but they went back 2 a single person operation after I left, BOB is the owner, ring him at 10-2pm tues-thus. specs will have alook in my book. :beer
