My poor ol staz has no power steer. I think at the time of the "twincamming back in '99" the power steer box was replaced by a L200? steering box.

Now id like to get power steer back, getting a steering box wont be too hard, but finding a suitable pump that fits will be.

any suggestions ?

I used a VR4 P/S pump mounted where the alternator used to be. i moved the alternator to where the A/C compresser was, then I moved the A/C compresser over to the bin :)
Heres a pic. Turned out to be a very easy job.

I'm looking at getting something similar done now, but wouldn't it be easier to leave the alternator where it is, and put the P/S pump where the A/C was?

Easier to modify the electrical loom than lengthen a high pressure hose for the power steering.

Apparently MR2's have an electric powersteer pump. I am going to look into this :)

I used the stock location VR4 power steering pump and high pressure line. One end of the line is a simple double flare. I made some simple double flare lines from the rubber line to the steering box:

Then again you guys sit on the other side of the car... hrmmm. Could probably still use these lines and just alter the hardline part.
