tranny for an auto

im looking at an 88 auto starion that this guy wants to sell me for $400 thats been sitting up for about a year now. says it ran good but the trany went out and pulled it out and no longer has it anymore. my ? is where can i get an auto trany for it at and how much? a guy said that an old bmw trany is the same. any input would be great

There's like about 2 auto Starions in the whole of Australia. Not sure if anybody here can help :?

just grab an auto box out of a rwd sigma, or l200/l300


or just change it to manual, cos auto stazza'a suck the big fat one :x
